Honey Hetzel was called to her Heavenly Home on July 22, 2022.  Honey was born on March 4, 1958 and spent her life in her hometown of Nashville TN.  She joins her parents, George and Dorothea.  She leaves behind her brother, George, who was steadfastly by her side during her illness, his family, her special friend of many years, Mark, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Honey pledged Tri Delta at UK in 1977.  She enjoyed living in the Delta Rho house for three years.  She had Greek friends all over campus and made lifelong Tri Delta friends.  Honey never missed a Tri Delta reunion and in recent years attended lunches in Lexington and trips to Florida.

Honey and her family enjoyed their annual trips to Keeneland.  She was an avid supporter and follower of UK athletics and all sporting events.  She loved celebrating holidays with family, caring for her Scottie dogs, buying unique artwork, and collecting eclectic friends.

During her illness Honey lived each day to its fullest.  She appreciated the prayers and support of her Tri Delta friends and valued the time spent together.  She was loved by all whose lives she touched.
